Solutions to drive the growth of Da Nang tourism industry in the new normal were put on the spotlight at a recent meeting between the Danang Tourism Promotion Fund (DTPF) and the municipal Tourism Transportation Association.

During the meeting, a spokesperson for the municipal Tourism Transportation Association pointed out some pandemic-triggered difficulties and challenges facing transport service providers in Da Nang. In particular, about 200 out of 319 transport service providers across the city have to date had their operations halted temporarily due to the coronavirus outbreak.

He also underlined a must-do for Da Nang to issue some preferential policies for transport service providers in the city in a bid to facilitate them to operate effectively amid COVID-19 crisis. Included were value added tax refunds, and reducing or exempting expenses for changing colour of registration plates from white to yellow.
