This initiative served as a heartfelt expression of gratitude from the city's youth for the significant contributions and sacrifices made by the heroic Vietnamese mothers.
Accordingly, youth union members visited, gave gifts, provided medical examinations, and cleaned martyrs' altars at the homes of heroic Vietnamese mothers.
They also prepared heartfelt meals to honor martyrs and shared intimate meals with the Mothers. This aimed to express warm feelings, and contribute to easing the pain of war, and bringing joy to the Mothers in their daily lives.

The activity not only spread the moral of "When drinking water, remember its source" but also contributed to educating today's young generation about the tradition of patriotism and gratitude towards generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their lives for the national independence and freedom.
It also helped foster the responsibility of youth union members and young people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
On the occasion, the youth citywide simultaneously organized incense offering and candle lighting ceremonies at 157 martyrs' cemeteries.
Moreover, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang Youth Union visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese Mothers Tran Thi Lieu (Giang Dong Village, Hoa Xuan Ward); Nguyen Thi Bon and Mai Thi Hue (Dien Ban Bac Ward); and Tran Thi Van and Le Thi Vui (Xuan Phu Commune).
During their visits, the leaders of the municipal Youth Union inquired about the health of the Mothers, expressed their sincere gratitude, and wished them a happy and healthy life.
