The coastal city of Da Nang in central Viet Nam and Daegu City in the Republic of Korea (RoK) inked a Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing cooperation on Wednesday.

Within the framework of the ongoing business trip to RoK made by the high-level delegation of Da Nang, the signing ceremony was witnessed by Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang.

Receiving the Da Nang delegation, Mr. Jeong Jangsu, Deputy Mayor of Daegu City, expressed his delight at the good development of the bilateral cooperative relationship in various spheres between Da Nang and Daegu over the past 20 years.

Aside from municipal-level exchange of high-ranking delegations, particularly Daegu Mayor's visit to Da Nang in 2023, there have been a wide range of exchange activities between art troupes and tech businesses. He believed that the two sides' extensive cooperation in many fields will contribute to further strengthening their friendship.

On behalf of the delegation of Da Nang, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong thanked the warm welcome of Daegu leaders. He also informed that 30 contracts were signed between Da Nang and Daegu tech businesses, marking a new milestone in their relationship.
