Following the approval of the Da Nang People's Committee, more than VND 100 billion will be spent on implementing the second stage of the An Thuong Tourist Quarter Project.

Invested by the Da Nang Management Board of Traffic and Agricultural Investment and Construction Projects, the project is implemented in the 2024 - 2027 period. In particular, the period from 2024 to 2025 is dedicated to investment preparation, while the implementation of the main items will take place from 2025 - 2027.

The project will focus on synchronised investment in technical infrastructure and landscaping, ensuring a seamless connection with Phase 1 which has been operational since April 2022.

The second phase of the project will include the construction of a central square that incorporates various sports and recreational features such as outdoor stage, relaxation benches, a water music floor, trees, exercise equipment, a lighting system, and decorative lights.

Along with that, sidewalks will be renovated, and trees will be planted along major routes such as Chau Thi Vinh Te, Hoang Ke Viem, Ngo Thi Si, Mai Thuc Lan, An Thuong 6, and An Thuong 9.

Also in phase 2, streets of An Thuong 5, 7, and 8 will be widened from 3.5 meters to 5.5 meters. Additionally, streets of An Thuong 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 will undergo improvements, including the paving of the roadbed, and renovations of sidewalks, landscaping, lighting, decorative electrical features, communication systems, water drainage ditches, and auxiliary collection pits. The entire neighborhood will also have technical installations for security cameras and public Wi-Fi, which will enhance connectivity and ensure security and order.

Furthermore, the city will invest in signs for the An Thuong Tourist Quarter brand, whilst the low-voltage power system will be buried underground.

The second stage of the project is not only an infrastructure initiative but also a long-term strategy aimed at developing the night-time economy and enhancing the experience for both residents and tourists. Once completed, this venue will host cultural and entertainment activities, and offer shopping options around the clock for visitors.
