During his reception on Wednesday for a group of visitors from the Economic Development Office of Thuringia state of Germany, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh briefed them on the city’s socio-economic development situation, and major fields and projects that are appealing for investment.

Mr. Minh also asked for help from the delegation to call on enterprises from Thuringia state of Germany to visit and learn about the city’s investment environment, and invest in spheres that the city is attracting investment such as information technology, infrastructure, high technology, tourism, and urban transport.

He expressed his desire that more seminars on investment promotion and trade cooperation will be organised in the near future, aiming to connect and facilitate businesses of both sides to expand and make more effective the cooperation programmes.

Over the past years, Da Nang has been boosting multi-faceted cooperation with the German government and enterprises. In particular, in May 2024, the central city signed a Memorandum of Understanding on local-level friendship cooperation with Thuringia State during the trip to Germany made by the delegation led by Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Trung Chinh.

For his part, Mr. Andreas Krey, Director of the Economic Development Office of Thuringia State, expressed his impression of the remarkable development of Da Nang.

He pledged that his delegation will promote the effective implementation of the cooperation agreement between the two localities, as well as connect German businesses in investment promotion activities in the city, thereby contributing to deepening the relationship between Germany and Viet Nam in general, and Thuringia State and Da Nang in particular.
